Causal Modeling and Machine Learning
In the past few decades, some of the most influential developments in the study of causal discovery and inference have resulted from cross-disciplinary efforts. Inspired by such achievements, this workshop aims to provide a platform for people interested in causality but from different disciplines to share the state-of-the-art and perspectives in their respective disciplines, and to explore the possibility of interdisciplinary cooperation in the study of causality.
Among other things, we are particularly interested in conceptual and formal characterizations of causality, theoretical problems in and practical methods for causal discovery and inference, the applications of causal analysis methods in real problems, human understanding of causality, and how causality facilitates intelligence. The workshop will consist of invited talks, contributed talks, and enough time for scientific discussions.
The workshop will take place in Guangzhou, China, on June 8, 2018.
